Southern Christian College Outside School Hours Care

Kingston Early Learning Centre and Southern Christian College Outside School Hours Care are situated on the Southern Christian College campus and provide long-day and school-hours care for children aged 2-12. Both services are not-for-profit and operate under the National Quality Framework.

We strive to develop strong relationships between children, educators and families, and respect family and culture as their first teacher.

Before school and after school care is available for 7-12 year olds and is managed and operated through Kingston Early Learning Centre.

Fee assistance is available through the Federal Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS). Facilities include indoor and outdoor spaces for the children to play and explore. The children also have access to the main school site and, during our mini-excursions, use a range of school and local facilities.

Our small numbers allow for greater individual attention from our trained and experienced staff. The days are planned and organised by our child care and early childhood trained professionals and follow the Early Years Learning Framework as well as the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.

We believe each child is a unique creation of God, who is capable and supported to explore, discover and learn about God’s world.

The early years framework

Southern Christian College is implementing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) in the Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten and is a component of the Australian Government’s Quality Framework for education in the early years.

Children explore their world through the themes of Belonging, Being and Becoming. Kindergarten reporting includes reference to children’s learning based on the Framework.

Take the next step and transform your learning.
