Kingston Early Learning Centre

The Kingston Early Learning Centre is situated on campus of Southern Christian College. It provides long-day or school-hours care for children aged 2-6. Assistance for children is available through the Federal Government’s childcare rebate scheme. Facilities include indoor and outdoor spaces for the children to play and explore. The Centre also has access to the main school site and, during our mini-excursions, uses a range of school and local facilities.

The Centre is licensed by the Department of Education for thirty children per day and participates in an ongoing Quality Improvement Program. The small numbers allow for greater individual attention from our trained and experienced staff. The days are planned and organised by childcare trained professionals and follow the Commonwealth’s Early Years Learning Framework and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.

The early years framework

Southern Christian College is implementing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) in the Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten and is a component of the Australian Government’s Quality Framework for education in the early years.

Children explore their world through the themes of Belonging, Being and Becoming. Kindergarten reporting includes reference to children’s learning based on the Framework.

Take the next step and transform your learning.
