We encourage learning inside and outside the classroom through extra-curricular activities, where students can pursue their passions, learn teamwork, resilience, and goal setting.
Extra-curricular at SCC
At Southern Christian College, we place great value on the importance of extra-curricular activities. These bring students into a strong, supportive community and enable them to develop their talents.
Sports
Primary and Secondary students have many opportunities to be part of our extra-curricular team or individual sports. This includes netball, basketball, cricket, volleyball, badminton, soccer, tennis and triathlon.
Music tuition
Individual music lessons with experienced tutors are available onsite during school hours. Students may elect to learn a vast array of instruments, including guitar, keyboard, trumpet or saxophone.
Ensembles
Participating in music ensembles is a way for students to develop their skills while also connecting with others with an interest in music. Choir, Rock Band and Concert Band are among the ensemble options available at the College.
Productions
These are an amazing experience for students who are on the stage and for the many others who are involved in behind-the-scenes roles.
Clubs
A number of other extra-curricular groups provide an opportunity for students to explore new interests or to deepen their skills. Clubs offered at the College include gardening, chess and technologies.
