Southern Christian College provides a broad educational programme to students. Specialist classes begin in Kindergarten and secondary students have the opportunity to participate in optional subjects in addition to their core programme of study. Optional subjects include: Languages (French), English (Creative Writing), Mathematics (Maths Methods) and Science (Advanced Science), Technology (Foods, Textiles, M.D.T. and Audio Design), the Arts (Visual Arts, Music, Film and Drama). For a full range of subjects, students and parents are directed to the annual Subject Guide.
It should be noted that all students complete at least one subject in each of the key learning areas (the Arts, Health & Physical Education, Humanities, Language A (English), Language B (Indonesian and French), Mathematics, Science, and Technology). All students engage in the College’s Christian Studies programme, inter house sports and the Community & Service extra-curricular focus.
Students can also participate in a range of educational opportunities through the Gifted and Talented Programme, Enrichment Programme, and Learning Support.
