Your child’s language learning and you

All children have the potential to learn language.  From a young age, students learn to communicate, forming new sounds and creating meaning.  Southern Christian College is committed to providing all students with the opportunity to learn another language.  To support this learning, we aim to build connections between home and school so that parents can support and encourage the learning that takes place within the classroom and school environment.  Parents can get involved in several ways:

  1. Through our parent Indonesian classes;
  2. Talking to your children about what they are learning;
  3. Encouraging them to share and explain their new language knowledge;
  4. Learning with the children at home with the aid of web-based resources and materials provided by the College.
